Re-invigorate your teaching practice by bringing visual art back into the classroom!
This free one-year program introduces K–5 teachers to meaningful and engaging strategies for developing students' skills in language and visual arts. Through workshops, seminars, and hands-on activities led by Museum educators and curators, you'll discover new tools to help your students think creatively, write successfully, and create inspiring works of art.
Teams of 6 to10 teachers and one administrator per school participate in this unique program. Teachers collaborate with one another and the Getty Center's staff to develop lesson plans based on their existing language arts curricula and works of art in museum's collection.
Participants receive bus transportation to bring students to the Getty Center for self-guided field trips. They are also eligible for LAUSD salary points or USC Continuing Education Units.
